• Modal woven with silk finish: 100% modal but treated and woven to feel and reflect light like silk. No actual silk content. Lower-cost, slightly less luxurious hand-feel, but still drapes beautifully and is more durable than the true blend.

Modal as a base fibre is worth understanding: it's made from beech tree pulp through a process similar to viscose but with more rigorous spinning that creates a finer, stronger filament. The result is a fabric that's softer than cotton, more breathable than polyester, more durable than viscose, and significantly more eco-friendly than pure synthetics (the manufacturing process is closed-loop in good mills).
