Dubai Fashion Week October 2026: Dates, Who Gets In, and What to Wear to d3
Dubai Fashion Week returns to Dubai Design District (d3) from 22 to 26 October 2026 for its Spring/Summer 2027 edition. It is the city's official fashion week, and it is an industry event: the room is buyers, press and designers, and there is no public ticket to buy. If you live in the Gulf, or are flying in from India, this page sets out what it is, who gets in, how to follow it, and what late October in Dubai actually feels like.

What the event actually is
Dubai Fashion Week (DFW) was co-founded by Dubai Design District and the Arab Fashion Council, and describes itself as the city's only official industry platform recognised as part of the international calendar alongside New York, London, Milan and Paris. It was launched under that name in February 2023; before that it ran as Arab Fashion Week, whose first edition was held in Dubai in 2015.
The October edition shows spring–summer collections; the previous edition, Autumn/Winter 2026/27, ran from 1 to 6 February 2026. For the October edition the organisers describe a curated programme of regional creativity and emerging designers, a runway schedule, and a Buyers Programme in which retailers see collections through showroom appointments and designer previews.
Designers are not selected by nationality. A jury of international fashion experts decides who joins the official calendar, and the week has regularly shown Indian labels — the February 2026 edition closed with Manish Malhotra's INAYA: The India Story, with Kriti Sanon as showstopper. That was the last edition, not this one: no designer line-up or show schedule for October has been published yet.
Can you attend?
Not by buying a ticket. Neither organiser sells public tickets for this edition, and none has been announced. The registration page on the official site is described as being for fashion industry members, and it offers exactly two doors: buyers and press. Registered buyers are told they will receive tickets to the runway shows — tickets are issued to the trade, not sold.
That is not a snub. It is how fashion weeks work nearly everywhere: the shows exist so that shops can place orders and journalists can write about the season.

What you can do instead
- Follow it. The organisers point to three official accounts: @dubaifashionweek, @d3dubai and @arabfashioncouncil. Both organisers published day-by-day highlights on their news pages during the February edition, so expect the same in October.
- If you own a boutique or buy for one, the buyers registration is the real way in, and it is aimed squarely at boutiques, department stores and distributors, local and international. Enquiries go to buyers@arabfashioncouncil.com.
- If you are a designer, the runway and presentation application is live and every submission goes to the Selection Committee. The homepage banner now advertises it for the March 2027 autumn–winter edition, so read that as the realistic target rather than October.
- Stay for Dubai Design Week. A week after DFW closes, Dubai Design Week runs from 3 to 8 November 2026, in strategic partnership with d3 — installations, exhibitions, talks, workshops, a marketplace and the Downtown Design fair. Check its own site for access to each part before you plan around it.
Getting to d3
Dubai Design District is reachable by metro, bus, taxi and ride-hailing. According to d3, the nearest Metro station is Dubai Mall Metro Station, RTA bus route D03 runs in and out of the district, valet parking is available, and a buggy service within d3 can be ordered from building receptions. The organisers have not yet said which d3 buildings will host the October shows, so if you have been invited, go by the address on your invitation.
What to wear to d3 in late October
Late October is the start of the pleasant season in Dubai, not the end of summer — but it is still warm. The UAE's National Center of Meteorology long-term averages, published through the World Meteorological Organization, put October at a mean daily maximum of 35.1°C and a mean minimum of 22.7°C, with average rainfall of zero. Those are averages across 1974–1991, not a forecast, but the pattern holds: hot afternoons, soft evenings, and air-conditioned interiors in between.
That shapes the dressing:
- Breathable fabrics that hold their shape. Cotton, linen blends and silks read well under show lighting and survive a walk between buildings in the afternoon heat.
- A light layer for inside. Show venues are cooled hard. A jacket, shrug or stole that looks deliberate, not like an afterthought, earns its place.
- Evening leans dressy. The side events around past editions were dinners and brunches hosted by fashion titles and brands, most of them invitation-only. If you are going to one, think polished evening wear rather than daytime resort pieces — our evening wear is a place to start.
- Shoes you can stand in. Show days can mean queues, outdoor walks and changes of building. A block heel or a smart flat will serve you better than a stiletto.
- Dress for Dubai. Modest-leaning cuts sit comfortably everywhere in the city — our Dubai resort wear guide covers the everyday side in more detail.
Before you rely on this
Every fact on this page was read on 29 September 2026 from the two organisers' own sites — Dubai Fashion Week's registration, application, warning and about pages, and Dubai Design District's press release announcing the October dates and its visitor information. The official calendar page was still showing February 2026 events when we checked, so no October schedule, line-up or venue building is given here. Where the organisers had not said something, this page says so instead of guessing.
